For our Planet

Vegan for the planet

A Plant-Based Diet for our Planet

Deforestation for grazing, methane production, pollution of waste runoff... What more do you need to hear. Our rainforests are being cut down and our planet is heating up, can't you feel it?! You can see the statistics below, but just knowing that changing your diet could put a stop to all that is going wrong with our planet, should make you so excited!

Animal Agriculture is Destroying our Planet

There is no doubt about it, one of the leading causes of the destruction of our planet is the result of what people eat. I know it might sound a bit crazy, but it's true. Please take some time to look at the link below to get the stats if you would like to see them. The ones that continue to blow my mind are 1. Animal agriculture is responsible for 91% of Amazon destruction. 2. 55% of water use, in the U.S. alone is from animal agriculture. 3. 1.5 acres of land produces 37,000 pounds of plant-based food, as apposed to 375 pounds of meat.

Just to say it, YOU CANNOT CALL YOURSELF AN ENVIRONMENTALIST IF YOU EAT ANIMALS!

Ellie Laks

"Deforestation for grazing, methane production, pollution of waste runoff... are just a few of the many reasons why factory farming is considered to be the leading cause of global climate change. You can make a difference by choosing a plant-based diet."
